Today was a very special day as we were asked to perform for a lovely couple who are good friends of ours. Matt is also in a band called “Red Men Don’t Walk” and we have performed with them many times, so when we were asked to perform at his wedding we were more than happy to be involved. A festival themed wedding was perfect for this couple who had a selection of live music throughout the day and Matt even performed a few songs with his band. Camie had set the scene perfectly with a beautiful marquee decorated with homemade decorations, sunflowers and bunting and the whole day had a sophisticated yet unique festival feel to it. Since the venue is situated on the Leeds-Liverpool canal the couple arrived to the party by boat. Our first performance was outside on the lawn using the pop up acoustic and the sun was shining so guests were entertained in the afternoon as they worked their way through a hog roast. There was no formal sit down meal which made the whole day very relaxed. After the speeches the live music commenced and we performed our second spot. Our music was very well received and we were treated to live music from Professor Frank, The Blues Brothers, Red men Don’t Walk and The Viper Kings.
It truly was like a mini Glastonbury filled with live music and camping (but with much nicer toilets and less mud) and our setup fitted in perfectly with the day’s events. Thank you to Matt & Camie for asking us to be part of your special day, you are a magical couple who were born to be together. We wish you all the best in a long and happy life together and truly hope all your dreams come true.
